Postdoc in Health Services

Postdoc in Health SErvices

The Signature Health Services Research Program at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Singapore, announces a postdoctoral individual fellowship in health services research. This postdoctoral research fellowship provides an opportunity for one or more years of training in applying modelling (including decision modelling, system dynamics, and event simulation) to the study of chronic and infectious disease in Singapore and the region. The Duke-HSR program supports and conducts research that bridges theory and practice in a way that both advances the state of the scientific theory and is sufficiently pragmatic to actually improve health care practice. The Duke-NUS HSR mission is to: (1) pursue a comprehensive HSR portfolio, (2) apply innovative analytical approaches, and (3) influence clinical and public health policy. The postdoctoral program is aimed at producing independent researchers who are competent in translating methods and interventions to the Asian context. Given the unique position of Singapore geographically and culturally, the program provides excellent training in comparative health systems research and cross cultural studies of health care systems.

Applicants must have received, by the activation date of the Duke-NUS HSR postdoctoral fellowship, a Ph.D. in one of the following domains: Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, or Systems modelling. The applicant should be a highly motivated individual, able to work independently in a multidisciplinary setting, and interested in developing a research career. Applicants who have published articles in peer-reviewed journals will be given preference.

Applicants should send the following documents: (1) Curriculum Vitae, (ii) two referee reports, and (iii) a writing sample or examples of any published works, to:
